The homepage estimator is an educational planning tool. It does not predict an outage, calculate guaranteed savings, or promise that a service will prevent downtime.

Estimator formula

Every value comes from the visitor.

(people affected × loaded hourly cost × productivity-loss percentage × downtime hours) + (revenue or gross-profit exposure per hour × downtime hours) + one-time recovery cost

Interpret the total carefully

Labor capacity and revenue or gross-profit exposure can describe the same impact from different angles. Adding both can double-count. Use zero for the second value when overlap is likely.

No information is submitted

The calculator runs in the browser. It does not save, transmit, or attach its inputs to a contact or support request.

Plan-versus-hire context

Compare raw costs, not unlike promises.

Perqline’s published annual plan prices are $419, $849, and $1,599 for the stated coverage units. BLS reports a $60,340 May 2024 national median wage for computer user support specialists. These figures may be placed side by side only as cost context: a membership does not provide the hours, role, availability, scope, control, or capacity of an employee.

No savings percentage is claimed. Employer taxes, benefits, tools, and overhead are also outside the BLS wage number, while hardware, onsite work, projects, and other exclusions remain outside plan coverage unless included in writing.

Verizon 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report

Published May 19, 2026, covering incidents from November 1, 2024 through October 31, 2025. The global dataset reports ransomware somewhere in the attack chain in 48% of breaches with classified action data (n=19,550), and exploitation of software vulnerabilities as the leading known initial-access vector at 31% (n=19,905).

Limitation: Dataset proportions are not the probability that an individual small business will be breached and are not inputs in the downtime estimator.
